About Us

Northleaf Farms is a family run farm in St-Joachim-de-Shefford situated in the Eastern Townships region of Quebec. We produce local duck eggs from free range birds that have pond access and are antibiotic and hormone free.  Our eggs are used in bakeries and restaurants, and are available for resale by grocers. Businesses are welcome to request a free sample of our eggs or make further inquiries by contacting us.

We rely on strict environmental management and not antibiotics to keep our birds healthy. As a result, we do not presently operate a retail counter at our farm. A list of vendors that carry our eggs can be found here. We are in the planning stages of a biosecure visitor centre to showcase our techniques to the public, so please look out for any announcements.

Why duck eggs?

A duck egg has, per gram, greater nutritional value than a chicken egg. Each duck egg has a greater yolk to white ratio and a higher protein density that gives richer and tastier baking and cooking results.

Use duck eggs instead of chicken eggs in your favorite recipes and experience the difference. Often people who are allergic to chicken eggs can eat duck eggs without difficulty.
